COMMISSIONS
PROCESS
I love creating one-of-a-kind commissioned works. Seeing the smiles on a clients face when I reveal the piece they dreamed about is priceless. It is such a personal and meaningful experience.
My commission process is as seamless as I can possibly make it, minimizing your paint points. Once you have decided you are interested in an original Art of Vital, you simply contact me.
We’ll have an initial discovery session, helping me understand your needs, tastes, and expectations. Keep in mind that your requests will be created in a style that is consistent with my body of work… for example, I don’t do life-like pet portraits… however, I can do an abstract interpretation based on your pets appearance, energy and quirks.
I’ll ask you the following 7 questions:
Theme or subject matter
Color Palette
Landscape or portrait format
Approximate size
Specific desires
Pricing: We will discuss and agree a price based on size and delivery date. You can expect a 2-week waiting period once order is confirmed. See policy below.
Area/Location: If you can share an image of the room where the piece will live I can personalize the color palette to match your interior design; unless you don’t care if the masterpiece doesn’t match the couch.
POLICY
Once we have committed to all the above criteria and the objective is understood, a 25% non-refundable deposit is required with no obligation to buy the commissioned work. This covers cost of materials and an element of time invested
To honor and maintain artistic integrity, the painting will be sold as is, allowing for one revision.
Your new original Art of Vital comes with a signed Certificate of Authenticity.
FRAMING: Commissions are created on gallery wrap style canvasses which do not require framing. In the event that your request is on another format and framing is required, I have a preferred framer to recommend, who can also accommodate shipping if you are out of state.
